➤ On Saturday 28th March, I will be part of a team taking part in an Interfaith Walk across Glasgow. As part of the walk, we’ll visit eight places of worship of different religious traditions.
➤ I am walking because I feel as though it is really difficult to feel like you are making a difference for the community nowadays. As a young person I feel it is my moral duty to help the communities that I care about that are suffering greatly in this day and age of discrimination.
➤ As well as celebrating the diverse city which I love, the aim for the walk is to raise at least £20,000 to support Interfaith Glasgow’s vital work – tackling prejudice and building positive connections between people of all faiths and none.
➤ With an increase in polarisation, divisive narratives and anti-immigrant sentiment, it is more important than ever to support the grassroots work that Interfaith Glasgow is doing.
➤ Every pound donated will help this fantastic charity continue fostering friendship, dialogue, and cooperation across Glasgow’s diverse communities.
