**Update: Walk Rescheduled!**

Due to severe weather warnings, the walk had to be postponed for everyone's safety. But it has now been rescheduled for Saturday 28 March and we can't wait!

----------------

This month, Pope Leo XIV invites us to pray "that believers in different religious traditions might work together to defend and promote peace, justice and human fraternity." At a time marked by conflicts, the Holy Father recalls that religions must be "bridges and prophecy," and not "weapons or walls."

His October prayer intention arrives as we celebrate the 60th anniversary of Nostra Aetate, the Declaration from the Vatican II Council that transformed the Catholic Church's relationships with other religions, opening the path to dialogue and collaboration. In a fractured world, the Pope encourages us to be "yeast of unity," open to recognize that we are "brothers and sisters, called to live, pray, work, and dream together."

Our interfaith walk is a witness that such a thing is possible.

On Saturday 28th March, we'll be part of a brilliant team of walkers taking part in an Interfaith Walk across Glasgow. We’ll visit eight places of worship - including St Aloysius Church. At each stop we’ll hear a blessing for Glasgow’s 850th anniversary.

As well as celebrating the diverse city we love, we want to help this team raise at least £20,000 to support Interfaith Glasgow’s vital work – tackling prejudice and building positive connections between people of all faiths.

At a time of increasing societal divisions and growing anti-immigrant sentiment, interfaith engagement has never been more important.

Every pound you give will help this fantastic charity continue fostering friendship, dialogue, and cooperation across Glasgow’s diverse communities!
